Description
Genesis gives four verses to the sons of God, the daughters of men and the Nephilim, and then moves on. Later writers did not. This guide follows what they made of those verses in 1 Enoch, Jubilees, the Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs, Josephus, the New Testament and the Church Fathers.
It ends with the two readings that divided interpreters, that the sons of God were angels or that they were the descendants of Seth, and it shows the evidence for each without choosing for you.
