The Lore Library began as a place to take strange old texts seriously, without sensationalising them or explaining them away. The Book of Enoch is quoted in the Letter of Jude. The King James Bible uses the one word hell for four different words in Hebrew and Greek. Those are facts about the documents, and they are more interesting than most of what gets invented on top of them.
The guides in this shop are the long version of that work. Each one takes a subject that a short video can only touch on and follows it through the texts, quoting them directly so you can check the reasoning.
How the guides are written
Quotations come first, taken word for word from public-domain translations and given with chapter and verse. Where readers have disagreed about a passage, the guide sets out the readings side by side. Where it goes further than a text does, it labels that as interpretation.
Nothing here is a devotional text, and nothing here is trying to change what you believe.
